On April 18, 2023, TÜV Rheinland Greater China, the internationally renowned independent testing, inspection and certification organization, awarded ISO 26262 Functional Safety Product Certificates to AutoCore Runtime for Safety and AutoCore Timesync for Safety, developed by AutoCore Intelligent Technology (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “AutoCore”). The two products fully comply with the ISO 26262 standard throughout their entire lifecycle and have achieved the highest functional safety level, ASIL D.

The certification ceremony was attended by AutoCore Chief Technology Officer Chen Cheng, Vice President of Business Development Huang Chungang, Zhao Bin, General Manager of Industrial Services and Information Security of TÜV Rheinland Greater China, and Yang Jiayue, Deputy General Manager of Industrial Services and Information Security of TÜV Rheinland Greater China, among others.

Chen Cheng, CTO of AutoCore, stated that AutoCore.Runtime for Safety is a communication runtime framework specifically designed for intelligent driving vehicles. It provides efficient, reliable and real-time data transmission under high-load scenarios, enabling globally safe and deterministic task execution and cross-chip global scheduling. AutoCore.Timesync for Safety is an advanced time synchronization technology that ensures accuracy and reliability of in-vehicle network communications. It adopts high-precision clock synchronization algorithms capable of synchronizing network nodes within a vehicle at the sub-100-nanosecond level. This capability is critical for intelligent driving systems, as it ensures that all sensors and actuators operate at the same moment, thereby significantly enhancing overall safety and reliability.

The successful ISO 26262 assessment and certification demonstrate that both AutoCore.Runtime for Safety and AutoCore.Timesync for Safety have passed rigorous functional safety verification and fully meet the functional safety requirements of intelligent driving vehicles.

At the ceremony, Zhao Bin, General Manager of Functional Safety and Information Security at TÜV Rheinland Greater China, commented: “TÜV Rheinland provides independent testing and rigorous inspection services to ensure quality and safety. We are pleased that our joint efforts with AutoCore have borne fruit. We hope this achievement will help AutoCore establish a solid foothold in the international market and achieve even greater success.”

AutoCore stated that obtaining the TÜV Rheinland ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety product certification for AutoCore.Runtime for Safety and AutoCore.Timesync for Safety marks an important milestone in its automotive software development, and provides strong safety assurance for enabling safer and more reliable intelligent driving. Together with AutoCore.DDS for Safety, which achieved ASIL D product certification one year earlier, AutoCore is currently the only company in the world capable of delivering a full-stack, ASIL D–compliant functional safety middleware solution for complete vehicle systems. AutoCore will continue to focus on the development of world-leading intelligent mobility platform software, delivering high-quality products and services to global customers and empowering partners to create greater value for the global automotive industry.
